Donkey reserve
Alistair and Suzanne have chosen to save donkeys in Crete. The donkeys come here to rest for the rest of their lives on this donkey reserve. They welcome visitors and also arrange glamping. They are open from 09:30 – 13:30 and in the evening until approximately 17:30 (twilight April – October).

We do not receive any money or help from the authorities. We rely on fundraising and donations to help us care for these wonderful and formerly abused animals. The donkeys that we take into our sanctuary are given a «till death do us part» home. We do not sell or give away these donkeys. We do not believe in subjecting old donkeys to stressful and long journeys, so we do not house them in other parts of Europe.
