💰 Tourist tax on accommodation 2026
In Crete and the rest of Greece, you must pay a daily fee per room or apartment when staying overnight. This is now called the Climate Crisis Resilience Fee–⁽²⁾ and applies to both hotels and short-term rentals like Airbnb.

- The fee is in addition to the price of travel and hotel and is usually paid upon check-in or check-out.
